A Marvellous Start to March!
As a child, I always loved the saying about March ‘In like a lion, out like a lamb’. My mother always told me it was about the weather (and in particular, the wind) and we certainly have started the month with some blustery weather! Our pupils’ progress and achievements, however, seem to be in reverse! Academically, the children continue to grow stronger and are more confident with their learning but we are equally proud of their achievement in the wider curriculum. Mrs Duxbury-Mead was reported as saying that she couldn’t have had a better day on Wednesday when both our Swimming Team won their gala and the A Team for football won their match. Well done to the swimmers/players and many thanks to the parents/carers who supported those events.
Thank you also to you for supporting World Book Day. It was a great opportunity to celebrate reading and the pleasure that can be gained from reading. We believe everyday should have opportunities to celebrate reading and books but I would like to thank Mrs Clack, our Reader Leader, for her hard work organising the day.
