New News Story
It is quite unbelievable that just as our youngest pupils have settled into school life, we have begun the process of welcoming families for Reception 2018! I thought you’d like to know some of the feedback from families visiting; they were hugely impressed with the building and facilities available, but what they were truly awed with were the pupils. From the youngest to the oldest, they saw respectful learners, keen to take part and work with others to do their best. If you have a sibling who will be 5 years old between 1st September 2018 to 31st August 2019, come and see the admin team in the office to find out how to register for a place.
As a Community Academy, we consider supporting the community part of our role. On Monday, we planted a tree as part of the new Charter for Trees, Woods and People. Supported by the Woodland Trust, a new Charter was signed at Lincoln Castle 800 years after the original Charter of the Forests was signed. We are proud to be part of the making of history and the children are aware of our plan to become a Green Trees Award School. Aiming high, we want to achieve the Gold Award – Miss Widdison and I will keep you and the children posted as to how you can help. You can also help by signing the Charter itself and by doing so, committing to a greener and healthier future for our children. https://treecharter.uk/
