EXCITING FOOTBALL MATCH – HUNTINGTOWER v BARROWBY
Our footballers take on Barrowby school
On Monday 12th March, the Huntingtower A and B teams played Barrowby in a football match. The A team got off to a great start with Josh Bruce scoring 3 goals in 10 minutes. Unfortunately we got off to a sluggish second half, nearly conceding a goal but within 5 minutes, we were back on form and scored another through Liam Clamp to give us a 4-0 lead. We were able to hang on until the last moments of the game. After the game Mr Turner praised us for our great effort and we stay unbeaten this season. Report by Liam Clamp
Barrowby took kick off but Huntingtower were off to a good start. We pushed hard and kept them pinned down in their half. But Barrowby slipped a goal past our goalkeeper in the time of 10 minutes. Just before half time Fynlay Chappell scored with an amazing left foot . Second half in the first couple of minutes Patrick, our goalkeeper, got a bad cut on his knee but still played on. It was a brave performance and at the end of the match it was 1-1. Reporters Fynlay Chappell and Thomas Mayfield
