Jubilant June!
Wow! What a week! It is rare for a school week to start immediately after the end of another week but this is what happened when many of our Year 6 pupils left school and went directly to Caythorpe PGL.
Despite the challenges of the weather, this brave group were up for every experience PGL offered. The staff who supported them were incredibly proud of all that they achieved and we hope they remember this fantastic experience for years to come. They'll definitely remember the rain!
Back at the academy, the children have continued to improve the quality of their learning. It has been challenging week weather wise (one might question whether or not it is actually June) and whilst we were disappointed that the Kwik Cricket competition was postponed, we were incredibly grateful that the Year 3 classes were able to visit a farm in Ropsley to learn more about how farms contribute to our food cycle. With so many trips and events planned over the next few weeks, let's hope the weather improves.
