Uniform
At Huntingtower Primary Academy, our policy on uniform expectations is based on the belief that school uniform:
-
promotes a sense of pride in our school;
-
helps to create a sense of community and belonging towards the school;
-
identifies the children with the school;
-
supports our commitment to inclusion;
-
is practical, smart and designed with health and safety in mind;
-
is considered good value for money by most parents
All pupils are expected to wear our Academy uniform which is as follows:
Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with or without school logos, pale blue shirt or polo shirt, grey trousers or skirts or pinafores, and sensible black shoes, boots or plain trainers with black soles. Socks and tights should be grey, navy or white.
In warmer weather the children may wear grey shorts or blue and white checked or striped dresses. We also encourage the children to wear summer hats/caps for playtimes and outdoor games.
Children are allowed to wear a single pair of simple studs in pierced ears but must be removed or taped over during P.E lessons. Make up and nail varnish are not permitted in school.
Hair ornaments should be of a reasonable size and either blue or black. Hair should not be coloured or have decorative patterns cut into it.
On PE days the children are required to wear P.E kit to school and the expectation is that the children will wear:
Navy blue sweatshirt or cardigan with or without school logos, Tower team coloured plain or with school logo T-shirt, navy blue/black shorts or skorts and sensible plain trainers.
In colder weather, pupils can wear plain navy or black jogging bottoms without logos or leggings for outdoor games. For Y3-6 pupils they may wish to bring a plain hooded jacket to wear during PE lessons outside.
School sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, grey trousers, grey skirts, Tower Team t-shirts, Navy P.E shorts, Navy Fleece Jackets and reversible jackets, P.E bags and bookbags can all be purchased at Uniform Direct www.uniform-direct.com.
