Football Match Vs Harlaxton
Huntingtower had another friendly, but this time our B team took on Harlaxton Primary school at home. I had another set of players who have been training well and it was time for
those children to be given their chance of playing a game.
It was quite an even match for the first half, both teams had equal chances and they battled for the full 30 minutes which was a credit to their determination for not giving up. In the second half, the game changed, Harlaxton then
put on an A team player which completely changed the game. The team found themselves
defending more and more, going down 2 nil in the first 10 minutes of the second half. However, the efforts of the players saw them winning the ball and breaking early, down the wings by Hubert and Alfie and crossing the ball into the box that saw Jack hit a perfect strike on goal which made it 2-1 and then minutes later, James calmly placing the ball in the bottom left corner to make 2-2, with Harlaxton scoring a further 2 late goals, making it 4-2 at the final whistle to Harlaxton.
The boys and girls who took part showed good team work and good passing throughout the match.
The following Year 5 and 6 players took part: - Frazer, Ebony, Alfie, James, Rebekah, Hubert, Jack and Riley.
Well done to them all.
