BURGHLEY HOUSE – Years 3 and 4
On Wednesday, 21st May, Gazelles, Lemurs and Rhinos went to Burghley House. Burghley House is a Tudor house and we went there because Years 3 and 4 are learning about Tudors. When we arrived we were full of excitement and then had a brilliant tour around the colossal house. Did you know there are more than 200 rooms in the house?

On Wednesday we went on a trip to a grand Tudor building. We went to the kitchen, had a tour of the house (it is a very fine place) and the garden of surprises, which is a place with water falls and even a mirror maze! The man was dressed in Tudor clothes as well. We had a great time at Burghley House!

On Wednesday, 21st May, Rhinos, Gazelles and Lemurs went to Burghley House in Stamford. First of all, we went inside the house and our guide told us that it had over 200 rooms and you could play football on the roof. Towards the end of the day, we went into the garden of surprises and that was spraying water left, right and centre, surprising us a lot. After that, we went to the sculpture garden with some memory tiles and we stuck whatever we could find on them. Rowan T-F – Gazelles
In Year 3/4 our project is the Tudors, so as our trip we went to a Tudor building. First we met some kind Tudors who came to show us around the house. Next we had lunch on a field, it was massive.
After lunch we learnt all about Tudor medicine and diseases.
Last, but not least, we went into the gardens. We had a memory tile to collect things that we saw around the gardens. It was so much fun!
