Rock Challenge UK is a series of performing arts events which promotes healthy life choices. On Monday 16th March we headed up to the Meres leisure centre to join in.

Thousands of young people take part each in their local events. Huntingtower took 78 pupils to enjoy the experience.

Having created the choreography for their eight-minute dance and drama routine, selecting and recording the medley of music for their soundtrack, and designing their sets and costunes we were ready to perform!

The 2015 theme was "Memories", affter watching some of the other schools performance, we were inspired to fully use the stage and acting skills to the max. Following rehearsals on the day, we started to get ready, but not before the teachers and parent helpers got a chance to show their moves with the rock challenge crew!

All the effort and hard work were rewarded by Huntingtower getting 7 awards and second place overall in the junior Rock competition! The evening ended with lots of voices saying "Can't wait till next year".
